Job Description
• Provide mechanical engineering input to conceptual studies, front end engineering and detailed engineering design for petrochemical, refineries and oil & gas facilities including the associated utilities.•Prepare of specifications, data sheets and other information covering static equipment, such as tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and specialized equipment.
• Perform engineering design deliverables, including static equipment selection and specification, design development in collaboration with designers and coordination with other project discipline.
• Preparation of technical requisition, stipulation of inspection and testing requirement including NDT and documentation.
• Performance of bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval.
• Quality Assurance – responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system•Safety – responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
Job Requirements
• Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Registered Engineer (preferable)
• At least 10 years mechanical design experience in the oil & gas environment, including experience in offshore developments / system upgrade projects
• Has had overseas assignments
• Hands on experience with pumps, compressors and packaged equipment
• Hands on experience with pressure vessels, tanks and heat exchangers
• Experience with the development of layouts for new facilities
• Experienced in the specification for, evaluation of and documentation of static equipment packages
• Familiar with API, ASME, TEMA standards relevant to static equipment
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritisation of work to achieve them
