Essential Responsibilities
• Working alone or as part of a team in-field, operating inspection equipment used for integrity monitoring on ‘live’ pipelines.
• Undertake in-field maintenance, preparation, commissioning deadlines to meet agreed programmes and budget
• Implement the agreed in-field programme within the specified timescales.
• Front-line troubleshooting of electro-mechanical inspection equipment
• Assist in training of client and sub-contract personnel involved in the inspection activities
• Liaise effectively with client in job planning, execution, support and feedback
• Provide external and internal timely and accurate professional reports
• Meet required quality standards
• Assist in the reduction of operational costs on an ongoing basis
• Performs other duties as required by the business.
• To comply with Section 7 and 8 of Health and Safety at work Act 1974 and any client Health and Safety procedures
• Assists in EHS awareness and improvements
• Successfully handles multiple tasks simultaneously
• Executes quality improvement initiatives
• Executes productivity improvement initiatives
• Task orientated working to strict deadlines and budgetary considerations
• Successfully manage client relationships whilst protecting PII’s commercial position
• Balances operational and customer requirements.
• Awareness of PII business strategy and link to personal endeavors.
• Demonstrable financial and budgetary compliance
• Significant travel with no restrictions (domestic/international/offshore)
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
- Qualified to a high level in either electronic or mechanical discipline
- Demonstrable understanding of electronic and/or mechanical engineering drawings
- Proven aptitude to be trained in electronic and mechanical disciplines
- Proven ability in the assembly, maintenance and preparation of mechanical and/or electronic equipment
- Must have all relevant documentation and approvals to drive in country - valid driver’s license required.
- Proven track record in delivering on the job engineering solutions
- Good diagnostic skills
