PIPING CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER (QATAR)
Location: Qatar
Start Date: ASAP
Key Result Areas:
• Champions on-site safety awareness and safe performance with contractor and among Project Team
• Maintains design integrity and quality requirements through the management of change and specification deviation processes. (RGEE Elements 3 and 7)
• Does overall coordination of piping field engineering and construction activities
• Participates as a member of a team in developing solutions to piping engineering field problems
• Ensures contractor's piping work plans and procedures are followed as required by contract
• Monitors and appraises piping fabrication and construction work to ensure compliance with the engineering design and project specification
• Evaluates performance of contractor's site engineering and construction organizations and personnel, suggesting remedial steps where deficiencies are noted
• Reviews and endorses piping changes and modifications proposed in accordance with the project Management of Change process
• Applies and captures lessons learned related to piping engineering activities. Engages resources outside the PMT on a timely basis to resolve piping issues

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in EPC projects, in both engineering home office and field construction sites, with strong skills in:
• Specifications, codes and standards for all PV&F components
• Piping design details
• Piping fabrication and testing (some welding expertise desirable)
• 3D layout considerations
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in multicultural environments desirable.
